This could be a joke or it could be a serious situation. Knowing Cantona, I’m not sure if I believe that or not. However, I found it intriguing that he stated he’ll announce his backroom personnel later!
Part of me hopes this report is true, just because Cantona is a legend in these parts, and the respect he’d command in that dressing room would be unparalleled.
United, on the other hand, has already pursued the club legend method. We all know how things turned out, so is this a path the Red Devils wish to take again? Most likely not.
In all seriousness, the club needs to hire someone who has a lot of expertise. We need a wise old head to steady the ship before handing over the reins to Mauricio Pochettino next summer.
