Heartbreak for Tottenham as star player tipped to join Man Utd in huge summer deal

Tottenham is currently ninth in the Premier League table, with a crucial match against Manchester City scheduled for 17:30 p.m. Antonio Conte’s team has lost its previous three league games and will be seeking to get back on track, though it will not be easy.

Tottenham’s most recent outing concluded in a 2-0 home loss against Wolves, who are managed by Bruno Lage. Conte was enraged after they conceded two goals to Wanderers due to clumsy defensive mistakes.

Tottenham are largely reliant on their front three of Harry Kane, Son Heung-min, and Lucas Moura. Kane has 15 goals in all competitions this season, while Son has 10 and Moura has six.

Former Watford captain Troy Deeney, on the other hand, believes Kane will leave Spurs this summer, with English rivals United certain to profit.

The Red Devils are apparently hoping to replace Ralf Rangnick with Mauricio Pochettino. And Deeney believes the manager’s bond with Kane may have played a role in the move.

“Here’s what I anticipate will happen: Mauricio Pochettino will leave PSG for Manchester United, as will Harry Kane,” Deeney said (via the Daily Mail).

Tottenham has a contract strategy.
Spurs hope to put an end to the leave rumors around Kane by entering in contract negotiations with him. The England captain, according to The Sun, is willing to extend his stay in north London.

He will, however, only do so if Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy agrees to back Conte with transfer funds in the summer.

Deeney also shared his opinion on three other large transactions that could go through once the window reopens.

“Zinedine Zidane and Paul Pogba will both join PSG.” “Kylian Mbappe is on his way to Real Madrid,” he added.

Pogba’s current deal is coming to an end, which means he may finalize a pre-contract agreement with European clubs immediately. PSG is competing with Real Madrid and Juventus for the services of the playmaker.

Meanwhile, in January signing Rodrigo Bentancur has spoken about Luis Suarez’s influence on his move to Tottenham.

“I was keeping an eye on my position while on international duty,” Bentancur explained to Sky Sports. “And as soon as Luis Suarez learned that I would be coming to play in the Premier League for Tottenham, he made himself available to offer me as much information as I needed.”

“Suarez suggested it would be a terrific move for me, both professionally and emotionally.” He was always willing to assist me if I needed it.

“Edinson Cavani also got involved.” Even though he will be an opponent, I asked him about the move, and he said it was a fantastic league to play in, and it would tremendously benefit me.”

Conte, according to Bentancur, can ‘dramatically improve’ him as a player.
