Finally Rangnick praises these star players after United’s 1-1 Young Boys draw
In last night’s 1-1 draw with Young Boys, Ralf Rangnick awarded Dean Henderson his first Manchester United start of the season.
Henderson was defeated by Fabian Rieder’s fantastic shot from outside the box, although Rangnick was pleased with Henderson’s overall performance during his post-match news conference.
In the second half, Rangnick introduced Tom Heaton from the bench for his Manchester United debut in his second stay at the club.
Rangnick claimed he had been brought up to speed on Heaton’s career since his arrival at Old Trafford, and he praised the Englishman.

When asked about Henderson’s performance, Rangnick commented, “He almost rescued the equaliser.” “He was only a millimeter or two away.” It was a challenging task.
“Apartfrom that, he was a proactive, present person.” The same can be said for Tom Heaton, who made his acting debut at the age of 35.
“I wasn’t aware of that, but we determined yesterday that we wanted to give him his debut if at all feasible.” I had no idea he had been playing in England for so long, and for the national team as well.
“Our goalie coach, Richard [Hartis], told me that.” He’s a terrific person and a fantastic goalie who, at the age of 35, more than deserves this opportunity.”
In January, the goalkeeping problem could come to a head, especially if Henderson insists on going on loan.
The Netherlands’ Ajax are the latest team to be connected with the England international, who has been forced to wait this season due to David de Gea’s form.
Heaton is more than capable of filling in for Henderson as a number two, and he could see more playing time if Henderson leaves.
Heaton has certainly made an impression on Rangnick, who has also stated that fourth-choice goalkeeper Lee Grant is not a first-team possibility at this time.
