During his brief stint at the Glasgow club in the second half of last season, the Ivory Coast international helped Rangers reach the Europa League final and win the Scottish Cup.

Amad scored three goals during his time at Rangers, including one against Ross County just four minutes into his debut.

He also scored against AC Milan in the Europa League round of 16 early in his United career, and he struck again in our home pre-season friendly against Rayo Vallecano last month.

The 20-year-old represented Ivory Coast at the Tokyo Olympics when he helped his country reach the quarter-finals.

The winger will work under new Sunderland manager Tony Mowbray. Amad will acquire more Championship experience, continuing his development in a fresh environment while being constantly monitored and supported by United professionals.

Everyone wishes Amad the best of luck this semester as we watch his progress at the Stadium of Light.
