The Premier League’s major clubs have spent huge money on players like Erling Haaland (Manchester City), Darwin Nunez (Liverpool), Gabriel Jesus (Arsenal), Richarlison (Tottenham), and Raheem Sterling (Tottenham) (Chelsea). Newcastle and West Ham have also strengthened their squads by adding Alexander Isak and Lucas Paqueta, respectively.

However, with the English transfer window closing at 11 p.m., in line with other European leagues, we anticipate seeing some last-minute deals around Europe as teams become more anxious to sign and flog players. The Daily Star Sport has compiled a list of seven of the most significant transactions that could be completed on the final day.

1. Layvin Kurzawa – Fulham

With Fulham launching a proposal for the out-of-favor Paris Saint-Germain defender, he could be poised for his first stay abroad from France. Despite not having featured for the Ligue 1 champions in almost a year, Kurzawa is said to have accepted personal terms with the west London club.

2. Leandro Paredes – Juventus

Another PSG deadline day departure is an Argentine midfielder, Leandro Paredes. It comes after the 28-year-old and Serie A heavyweights Juventus agreed on personal terms, with only a sum remaining to be agreed between the two teams.

3. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – Chelsea

Chelsea is still interested in signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Barcelona, but are concerned about his age (33) and exorbitant price. The club launched a £15 million ($17.6 million) bid to recruit the former Arsenal striker earlier this month, but they have yet to secure an agreement with Barcelona or personal terms with the player.

4. Youri Tielemans – Arsenal

After Mohamed Elneny suffered a long-term injury this week, Arsenal may be compelled to make a move for Leicester midfielder Youri Tielemans. The Gunners have been unwilling to match his £35-40 million asking price since his contract expires next summer, but injuries may force their hand on deadline day.

5. Keylor Navas – Napoli

Keylor Navas, a three-time Champions League winner, is expected to join Napoli after being replaced by Gianluigi Donnarumma. PSG and Napoli are negotiating a deal for the Costa Rican goalkeeper, while Fabián Ruiz is heading in the opposite direction.

6. Cristiano Ronaldo – Chelsea

Cristiano Ronaldo is still reported to be interested in leaving Manchester United, as his agent Jorge Mendes meets with potential suitors. Chelsea is thought to be the 37-year-favorite old’s destination due to the temptation of playing Champions League football again, despite the Blues being said to have turned down the Portuguese star earlier this summer.

7. Cody Gakpo – Southampton

PSV forward Cody Gakpo was strongly linked with a Man Utd move before the Red Devils signed Antony. However, Southampton, Leeds United, and Everton are still interested in the 23-year-old Dutchman, with the Saints having had a solid bid rejected down.
