Ronaldo banks £850k bonus after netting hat-trick for Man Utd

According to sources, Cristiano Ronaldo’s hat-trick in Manchester United’s 3-2 win over Norwich City on Saturday earned him a bonus of £850,000.

Ronaldo, 37, increased his season tally to 21 goals against the Canaries, capping off his match-winning performance with a magnificent free-kick.

According to the Sun, Ronaldo was awarded £750,000 for reaching the 20-goal threshold, which activated a new clause that sees Ronaldo pocket £100,000 every time he scores, bringing his total prize for the afternoon to £850,000.

According to the source, the striker will receive an additional £1 million if he finishes the season as United’s top scorer, which is almost inevitable. Ronaldo will ‘pocket roughly £2.75m in total payments’ if he scores 30 goals, on top of his salary.
