According to rumours, Manchester United has set a price for goalkeeper Dean Henderson. After the Old Trafford giants prevented him from moving away on loan during the January transfer window, speculation about the Academy graduate is at an all-time high.

Last season, Henderson dethroned long-serving number one David de Gea. Since last summer, though, game time has been difficult to come by, and the Spaniard has been an ever-present in the Premier League.

On Saturday, De Gea made his 481st appearance for United against Norwich City, pushing him up to 12th on the club’s all-time record. Henderson is still shrouded in mystery.

During the January transfer window, Saudi-backed Newcastle and Ajax, led by United manager-elect Erik ten Hag, expressed interest in the England international. He was forced to stay put, though, as The Daily Star reports that United value him at about £40 million for the next transfer window.

The Old Trafford boardroom is said to have made it clear that they will not bend on that number.

Meanwhile, the soon-to-be-appointed Ten Hag is forging ahead with preparations to recruit Monaco’s highly regarded Aurelien Tchouameni. According to ESPN, this is the case.

When it comes to signings, United are expected to prioritize center midfielders, as evidenced by Nemanja Matic’s surprise decision to depart Old Trafford with Paul Pogba this summer.

Tchouameni has received high praise from Pogba and is expected to cost between €60 and €70 million. He has eight caps for France and has been one of AS Monaco’s best players this season.
