While Mauricio Pochettino has long been considered the favourite to take over at Old Trafford, it looks that his Ajax counterpart has the support of the club’s important figures. Anthony Martial
Anthony Martial is on loan at Sevilla at the moment.
United agreed to allow the France international move on loan because they believed he would benefit from a brief stay at Old Trafford, especially with his confidence in shambles.
Martial has had a strong start to his career at the La Liga club, scoring twice in a 2-0 win over Elche on Friday.
This ship has sailed, notwithstanding his talent.
Ten Hag would only want players who are completely committed to the mission, and while Martial has a professional background, he has often battled to overcome challenges.
As a result, it’s difficult to imagine him sticking around if Ten Hag obtains the job. Pochettino, on the other hand, might be more willing to give him another chance because he wanted him during his time at Tottenham.
