The Dutchman joined Manchester United from Ajax in 2020 for a fee that could increase to £40 million with add-ons.

So far, this move hasn’t gone as planned, as he hasn’t appeared for United since the start of the 2020/21 season.

During the January transfer window, Van de Beek was granted permission to join Everton on loan.

Lampard has won two of his first three games in charge of the Toffees, and the midfielder has made an immediate impact.

Lampard praised Van de Beek for overcoming a “difficult” moment in his remarks on Thursday:

“I’m incredibly amazed.” On a professional level, I am extremely impressed with his conditioning and game sharpness since speaking with him, seeing him exercise, and speaking with him. “It doesn’t surprise me when I observe training,” Lampard stated (via The Daily Mail).

“When I remember back to his time at Manchester United, he’s a top-tier talent.” He was with Ajax when Manchester United signed him.

“It isn’t easy. There are various ways to react, and I’m sure it was difficult. He has demonstrated that if you keep your head down and work hard, you can get through it.

“People will always admire you for that.” Now, ideally, he’ll have more opportunities to demonstrate his talent on a consistent basis, as I do.”

The Manchester United veteran has disclosed that Van de Beek has “lifted the levels” in training, according to sources at Everton.

“I’ve spoken to a few individuals at the club, and they’ve stated that he’s gone in there and lifted the levels in terms of training,” Ferdinand told Vibe with FIVE.

“First and foremost, he’s a nice lad, but you can see. Many of them are thinking, ‘Wow, he’s this brilliant, they must be incredible at Manchester United if he can’t get in.’
