Mason Greenwood removed from Football Manager
Following the release of the updated Main Winter Update database, Manchester United striker Mason Greenwood has been deleted from Football Manager 2022.
Sports Interactive confirmed the release of the Main Winter Update for Football Manager 2022 on Thursday, February 24, 2022, with players now able to use an updated database (22.3.0) for their new save games, which includes all of the updated transfers from around the world, attribute changes, game fixes, and more. Greenwood, a Manchester United striker, does not exist in the new FM22 database.
“Any player or official serving an indefinite suspension from football, for whatever reason,” a Sports Interactive spokeswoman informed Manchester Evening News, “has been removed from Football Manager in the newest version.”
“The player or official will be reinstated at the next scheduled opportunity if and when that suspension is overturned.”
Greenwood was removed from FIFA 22 on February 1, 2022, after EA Sports released a database update that fully removed the forward from offline modes, FIFA 22 Ultimate Team packs, and FIFA 22 Ultimate Team draughts in the popular football simulation game title. Greenwood’s FUT 22 player item, on the other hand, may still be purchased and sold using the game mode’s internal transfer market.
“In FIFA 22, Mason Greenwood has been removed from active squads and is no longer available in FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT) packs or Ultimate Draft.” According to the Manchester Evening News, an EA Sports spokeswoman said.
On January 30, Greenwood was arrested on accusations of rape and assault after reports that he was abusive toward a lady. On Wednesday, February 2, 2022, he was detained again on accusations of sexual assault and making threats to kill, before being freed on bond.
“A 20-year-old man arrested (on Sunday, January 30, 2022) on suspicion of rape and assault of a woman has been released on bail pending further investigation,” GMP stated in a statement.
The 20-year-old will not be training or playing for United until further notice, according to the club.
Nike has acknowledged that their collaboration with the forward has come to an end, after originally halting their engagement with him.
Following the conclusion of a trademark dispute between the club and Sega, Manchester United was called ‘Manchester UFC’ or ‘Man UFC’ from FM22.
