Despite returning the club from Juventus in 2016 for a fee of £94.5 million, the French midfielder is now facing an uncertain future after failing to prolong his stay at Old Trafford.

The second half of the season is now well started, and there are still no signs of Pogba signing a new contract, despite the fact that he has played a vital part under Rangnick and his presence looks to be well accepted by supporters.

Nonetheless, with only five months left on his contract, Pogba, who is now 29 years old, is likely to receive only one more significant contract before his career begins to wind down, and the offer is expected to come from elsewhere.

Man Utd FC Blog’s Decision

Pogba has been a key figure at United, and while his contract status hasn’t affected that, the club would definitely prefer to put the subject to rest.

Pogba, who is being counseled by super-agent Mino Raiola, appears to be on the verge of leaving Manchester United at the end of the current season.

It is unknown whether the 2018 World Cup winner prioritizes money or the potential of winning silverware; nevertheless, the latter is unlikely to materialize with the Red Devils – especially given that they are on track to go a fifth season without collecting a trophy.

Whatever happens in the last months of the season, losing Pogba, a player valued at little under £50 million (Transfermarkt), for free will be a cruel blow to the club’s leadership.
