The academy graduate was detained on accusations of rape and sexual assault on Sunday, before being arrested again on suspicion of sexual assault and threats to kill. United’s suspension prevents him from participating in any club activity, including training and games, until further notice.

Greenwood was not identified in any of the Greater Manchester Police statements, but he was released on bail on Wednesday.

There isn’t much more to say about the scenario (which is why we’re keeping a closer eye on the comments section than normal), but Rangnick didn’t shy away from the obvious, implying that players had been discussing the incident.

According to The Mirror, Rangnick told reporters, “We had a good routine week of training with five training sessions including today’s training.”

“Obviously, that was a discussion inside the team, but they’re human people, and Mason was a member of the group before we went on break.”

“We had a good week of training, we were able to exercise under normal conditions, and we are looking forward to the game tomorrow.”

As we previously stated, there is very little that can be said about the situation, and the players must simply get on with their jobs, albeit in tough conditions.
