This week sees the resumption of Champions League action, with Liverpool and Manchester City vying for a spot in this year’s quarter-finals. Chelsea and Manchester United will have to wait until next week to resume their Round of 16 matches, but the quarter-final draw is still coming up.

On Tuesday night, Liverpool will host Inter Milan in the second leg of their Round of 16 contest.

Jurgen Klopp’s team triumphed 2-0 three weeks ago at the San Siro and are set to go to the next round.

City supporters will also be able to relax this week, knowing that they have all but guaranteed their spot in the next round.

Pep Guardiola is expected to make changes for Wednesday’s encounter against Sporting Lisbon, after his team won the first leg 5-0 in Portugal.

In other news, Chelsea defeated Lille 2-0 in their first Last 16 encounter at the end of February.

Kai Havertz and Christian Pulisic completed a solid home win for the west Londoners.

United is also in control of their tie after drawing 1-1 with Atletico Madrid in Spain.

Ralf Rangnick’s team will welcome Atletico Madrid to Old Trafford for the second leg, however away goals have been eliminated from this year’s competition.

When is the draw for the Champions League quarter-finals?
The draw for the quarter-finals will take place on Friday, March 18, according to UEFA.

It will be aired live from Nyon, Switzerland’s House of European Football.

The draw will begin at 11 a.m. UK time (12pm local time).

The draw will be broadcast live on BT Sport 1 at 11 a.m., and it will also be streamed live on the UEFA website.

How will the drawing take place?

There will be no seedings or nation protection in the Champions League quarter-finals.

That implies that every side in the competition can play against any other team, regardless of whether they play their domestic football in the same league.

Similar to an FA Cup or Carabao Cup draw, all eight clubs will be drawn one by one to disclose the four matchups.

The opening legs of each match will be hosted by the team that was drawn first in each matchup.

The draw will be immediately followed by the semi-final draw, giving teams a clear picture of their path to the final.

When will the quarter-finals be held?

The first legs will take place on April 5 and 6.

Second legs: 12/13 April

Which teams will be included in the draw?

RB Salzburg or Bayern Munich?

Inter Milan or Liverpool?

Sporting Lisbon or Manchester City?

Real Madrid or Paris St. Germain?

Atletico Madrid or Manchester United?

Benfica or Ajax?
