The 21-year-old academy star scored in spectacular fashion as Dundee United beat Motherwell 2-0 on Wednesday night to move into fourth place in the Scottish Premiership.

Levitt’s first senior league goal, which may be seen below, was really stunning.

The Terriers attacked along with the right-wing, but the cross was barely defended before Levitt seized it on the volley and smashed it into the far corner of the net.

Liam Kelly, the goalkeeper for Motherwell, had no chance!

With James Garner receiving lots of praise for his efforts on loan at Nottingham Forest, Levitt is aware that he will face competition for game time when he returns to United, but he is creating a name for himself in Scotland.

Tam Courts, manager of Dundee United, is pleased with the United loanee, saying (via Manchester Evening News): “Dylan’s goal was again a great moment of brilliance.” You couldn’t have picked a finer person to receive the ball as soon as it fell.

“He captured it so sweetly, and it was yet another great moment in front of the supporters.”

Levitt was also questioned about the purpose. “I thought I did well,” he remarked at the end. “I believe it’s a fantastic performance to bounce back after Saturday, especially.”

“I suppose I needed that as well to attain the goal.” It’s always nice to get on the scoresheet, especially when you’re wearing that jersey.

“However, it’s not only about my aim; it’s about everyone, particularly with the three points.”

“It’s a wonderful night, I think. We could have scored more goals if we had taken our chances and gone to the heart of them, especially in the second half, but it’s a perfect night.”
