The 31-year-old was present as United won their first title in over six years, thanks to Casemiro’s goal and an own goal by Sven Botman.

Eriksen was wearing a protective boot on his left leg at Wembley, but he was no longer needing crutches as he nears a return before the conclusion of the season.

After suffering an ankle injury in the FA Cup triumph over Reading a month ago, the Danish international was initially ruled out until April.

Eriksen still has a long way to go before he can consider returning to play, but he provided an update on his condition following the Wembley victory.

“I’m doing fine,” he told MUTV. “It’s always monotonous to be in a boot and on crutches, but I’ve ditched the crutches and am now only in a boot, which should be removed next week so I can finally start learning to walk. Nonetheless, it feels good.”

“It’s been enjoyable. You obviously want to play. It’s more nerve-racking to watch from the stands than it is to play, but I kept my cool, and it’s good to see how delighted they are. I’m just glad we won the game.”
