Paul Pogba: I want to show Manchester United they made a mistake as He drops his last words to fans

Paul Pogba has stated that he wants to demonstrate to Manchester United that they made a mistake by not extending his contract beyond this summer.

After failing to impress throughout his six-year stay at United, the 29-year-old midfielder will leave on a free transfer for the second time on June 30.

Pogba joined United from Juventus in August 2016 for a then-world record cost of £89 million, four years after leaving Old Trafford for the Italian club.

Juventus are heavy favorites to re-sign Pogba this summer, and the France international hopes to prove his worth wherever he ends up.

“My thought process is to prove Manchester (United) that they made a mistake in delaying to grant me a contract,” Pogba stated in his new Amazon Prime documentary, The Pogmentary.

“And to demonstrate to other teams that Manchester erred in not offering me a contract.”

United made at least two offers to Pogba that were greater than the existing £290,000-a-week contract that had already made him one of the highest-paid players in the Premier League.

However, when his late agent Mino Raiola revealed the club’s second offer in July, Pogba responded by saying the club had offered him “nothing.”

“How can you tell a player you want him and then offer him nothing?” Pogba explains. “I’ve never seen that before.”

Pogba only won the Europa League and the League Cup while at United, but he did assist France to win the World Cup in 2018.

Some United fans accused Pogba of performing well for his country but failing to match similar form for his club.

Raiola believed that anything was “preventing him” from living up to his contract at United.

“We must attempt to make you feel as fantastic as you do when you play for France,” Raiola says. “You’re unique with them. Do you get it? You’re another Pogba for Manchester United. It’s not typical.

“You’re the real Pogba with the France team, the Pogba of Juventus, the Pogba that everyone adores.” There’s something stopping you in Manchester.”
