This website reported on Monday (March 27) that United will face competition from Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea to sign the 18-year-old following his outstanding debut season.

Ferguson is seen to be a potential project signing, with Manchester United management still looking for a top-class number nine this summer.

Tottenham’s Harry Kane, Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, and Benfica’s Goncalo Ramos are all thought to be on the Red Devils’ radar ahead of the summer transfer window.

According to sources close to the issue, the club is looking for a forward capable of scoring 20-25 goals in his first season to help them compete for the Premier League title in 2023-24.

Kane, who has 204 Premier League goals in 310 games, has been linked with a £100 million exit from Tottenham as his contract expires.

Osimhen has scored 21 Serie A goals in 23 appearances for Napoli this season and is valued at approximately £100 million, despite interest from free-spending Chelsea.

Ramos has 16 goals in 21 league appearances for Benfica this season and has performed admirably for Portugal at the World Cup in Qatar.

With Cristiano Ronaldo’s shock departure last year, Manchester United’s current striker options are Wout Weghorst and Anthony Martial.

Last month (21 February), Football Insider revealed that the Red Devils are unlikely to sign on-loan Burnley striker Weghorst permanently this summer.

United currently sits third in the Premier League and looks set to compete in the Champions League again next season.
