Fabrizio First January Deal Agreed – Man Utd prepared to sign £40million star in shock exchange deal – Report

The English international, who found the net 30 times across all competitions in the previous campaign, secured a lucrative contract extension during the summer to prolong his tenure at Old Trafford.

However, Rashford’s current poor performance is deemed a contributing factor to United’s downturn this season.

In response to this situation, reports suggest that Manchester United is considering a surprising move—offloading the Three Lions star and acquiring Brazilian talent Raphinha as his replacement.

As per Todo Fichajes (via Football Transfers), Manchester United is open to a potential exchange deal involving Rashford and Raphinha, both 26 years old.

While Barcelona has shown interest in Rashford in the past, the proposal is not yet in an advanced stage.

Raphinha, who played a crucial role for Barcelona in the previous season, contributing directly to 14 goals to secure La Liga victory, has found himself primarily on the bench in the current campaign.

Seeking regular playing time, the Brazilian winger is exploring options beyond Nou Camp.

Rashford, registering 2 goals and 2 assists in 13 Premier League starts this season, has drawn attention from Barcelona. Meanwhile, Raphinha, with identical statistics, has started only 4 league games under Xavi.

Reports suggest that Barcelona is willing to make Raphinha available for a transfer, valuing the Selecao attacker at around £40 million.

Having previously demonstrated his prowess in the Premier League with Leeds United, the question arises—should Manchester United consider parting ways with the out-of-form Rashford to secure the services of Raphinha?
