Mason Greenwood ‘was spoken to’ about brutal Cristiano Ronaldo criticism by Manchester United after labelling his career at Real Madrid ‘dead’

Mason Greenwood allegedly berated Manchester United's academy stars, calling them "s***" to their faces and referring to Cristiano Ronaldo as "dead."

It prompted Red Devils coaches to correct Greenwood’s language, as the forward was not hesitant to harshly criticize his teammates.

Greenwood has been suspended by United since his arrest was reported in January of last year.

The accusations against the one-cap England international of attempted rape, assault, and controlling and coercive behavior were dropped in February.

United have since indicated that they would conduct their own internal inquiry to assess Greenwood’s future, though it is unclear how long this will take and whether Greenwood will ever play for the club again.

Greenwood, according to The Athletic, is no stranger to stirring problems behind the scenes at Manchester United, where he failed to hold back his opinions on the club’s young players as well as Ronaldo.

It has been stated that while Ronaldo was at Real Madrid, Greenwood referred to him as ‘dead,’ meaning that his career was over.

Conversely, according to a source, he often spoke down to his youth teammates: “He knew he was a fantastic player and was cutting, he wasn’t hesitant about telling someone they were s***.”

“You’d say, ‘Can’t be talking like that,’ when you heard that.”

The news outlet has stated that United staff were forced to intervene and ‘correct’ him, though they thought his comments were a result of ‘youthful delusion’.

His blunt demeanor is said to have permeated his school life, with a number of staff members at Ashton on Mersey recalling him with disdain.

During tough moments in training, Greenwood reportedly threatened to join United’s arch-rivals Manchester City, but he finally turned them down.

“He would run through a brick wall to be back playing for United now,” a source said of the kid.

But it’s unclear whether Greenwood, who is expecting a child with his partner, will ever wear the famous jersey again.

Greenwood has received offers from Turkish clubs, but United has turned them down while they conduct an investigation.
