Dylan Levitt is hoping for a chance to play for Manchester United’s first team under new manager Erik ten Hag.

The 52-year-old will join Old Trafford on a three-year agreement with a 12-month extension option, the club said on Thursday. During his time at Ajax, the manager is known for producing young players, having coached Matthijs de Ligt, Frenkie de Jong, and Donny Van de Beek.

Levitt has confessed that his United young colleagues are looking forward to his arrival, and that he will be attempting to force his way into Ten Hag’s plans once he returns from his loan term at Dundee United. “I still keep in touch with boys at United on a regular basis, and they are pleased about the new boss,” he told The Courier.

“When you hear that a new boss is on the way, it creates a buzz around the office.” “Hopefully, with the new manager coming in at United, I’ll have an opportunity,” he continued.

“My contract expires in the summer, and nothing has been said about it. I’m hoping to hear something in the next weeks.”

Despite a couple of minor ailments, Levitt, who is 21 years old, has had a strong season in Scotland and has impressed many observers. His ultimate goal is to play senior football at Old Trafford, but for now, he’s focused on helping Dundee United qualify for Europe.

“Everyone’s desire is to be able to go back (to Manchester United) and make an impact,” he remarked. “However, I need to concentrate on the present, which is Dundee United.”

“In order to play in European football, we’ll have to go up a notch and play with confidence and no fear.” Everyone understands how significant it would be to return the club to Europe, both for the players and for the fans.”
