Under Jose Mourinho’s guidance, Dalot joined the Red Devils in 2018. The Portuguese manager was interested in a move at the time, and he is still interested in bringing him to Roma in January.

This season, the full-back has struggled for minutes, with Aaron wan-Bissaka starting the majority of the games. The 22-year-old has yet to make an appearance in a Premier League match and maybe pondering his options at Old Trafford.

He has previous Serie A experience, having spent the 2019/20 season on loan at AC Milan. Furthermore, the Italian club is willing to sign him on a loan deal before finalizing a permanent deal.

However, while this may suit Jose Mourinho and Dalot, it does nothing to help Manchester United. Only if they can recruit Kieran Trippier are the Red Devils willing to let go of the Portuguese international.

The English international is presently playing for Atletico Madrid, where he helped the club win La Liga last season. The Manchester club has been interested in signing him for a while but has been put off by his £40 million release clause.

Wan-Bissaka could do with some active competition at full-back, and Trippier may be the guy to deliver it. Furthermore, the 31-year-old can play on either side, having done so previously with the Three Lions.

Trippier has an excellent familiarity of the Premier League because to his time with Tottenham Hotspur. As a result, the deal could be completed and Dalot transferred to Italy. United, on the other hand, will be responsible for paying the release clause, which they have been wary of since feigning interest in the player.
