The German introduced the kid into the starting lineup against Crystal Palace in early December, and he’s been a regular since then, with six starts in 15 Premier League games.

He’s also been a regular in the Champions League, having played 90 minutes against Young Boys, 15 minutes against Atletico Madrid (in which he scored), and 67 minutes in the return leg of that match.

He’s now a full-fledged part of the first-team squad, but he thinks that he hasn’t had his big break yet.

“The first training session was when he (Rangnick) arrived. “I just wanted to show him what I was capable of,” he explained to TV4.

“Since then, I’ve played in more games under him.” As a result, I greatly value Ralf. He believes in me, and all I can do is seize the chance that he provides.

“I feel like I have to show everyone what I’m capable of doing in every game.” I still have a lot of games to show off my skills. So, I don’t think I’ve made my breakthrough yet, but Atletico Madrid was undoubtedly the best game I’ve played so far.”

While Elanga does not believe he has truly broken through, the numbers and faith demonstrated by management indicate otherwise.

In addition to working with Rangnick at Manchester United, he is currently a member of Sweden’s senior squad, where he has trained alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The great striker has already spoken highly of the youngster, predicting a bright future for him if he continues his current progress.

And it appears that the former Manchester United player has been advising the youngster whenever he can.

“Ibra, Zlatan,” Ibra said. He used to play with my father, so we talked about the memories he shared with him,” he added.

“I look up to him because he has played for the national team and numerous club teams.”

“He’s scored a lot of goals, so he’s someone I look up to and have talked to recently, and he’s given me some excellent advice.” He simply replies, ‘Keep battling at United, keep demonstrating what you’re capable of.’ ‘Your turn will come.’
