In a surprising turn of events, Manchester United may face a January swap deal opportunity involving their striker Anthony Martial.
Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) reportedly have their eyes on the Red Devils’ forward, considering him as part of their efforts to bring more homegrown talent into the squad.
Martial, currently relegated to the role of the second-choice center-forward at Old Trafford, could be made available during the winter transfer window.
The arrival of Rasmus Hojlund at United for £72 million is seen as a potential catalyst for Martial’s departure, especially as the Frenchman has struggled, managing just 18 top-flight goals since the commencement of the 2020-21 season.
United is reportedly optimistic about Martial agreeing to a January move and is fielding interest from PSG, as well as other clubs like Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid.
