Everton’s relegation woes were heightened on Wednesday evening after losing 3-2 to Burnley at Turf Moor in a crucial bottom-of-the-table showdown. Everton had a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford back in October. Despite leading 2-1 at halftime, Frank Lampard’s team had the game flip on its head after the restart, with goals from Jay Rodriguez and Maxwel Cornet, putting Burnley just a point behind them in the fight for survival.

The Toffees are now just one point above the relegation zone and are in serious danger of being relegated for the first time in their history. They’ve only won one of their last seven games, losing the other six.

Despite their dismal league position and lack of confidence, Dalot has dismissed the prospect that United will find it simple to secure all three points, despite the fact that the Reds are in poor form.

“Going to Goodison Park is always difficult,” Dalot told United Daily. “We understand that playing in such an environment is always difficult.

“They are having some difficulties, but they will undoubtedly be motivated to perform against us. As a result, we must prepare for anything and be ready to face any situation.”

When asked if the Toffees’ terrible league place inspires confidence in United, Dalot responded: “No, because they are fighting for their lives, we must be razor-sharp and laser-focused on what we must accomplish. However, we must anticipate that they will go to any length to obtain points.

“However, we will travel there with the mindset of returning home with three points, winning, putting in a solid performance, and moving on to the next game.”
