Kane’s goal-scoring record is unquestionable. He’s on his way to become England’s all-time leading scorer, and he’s also reaching 250 goals for Tottenham.

Shearer, on the other hand, has explained how the Three Lions captain boasts a variety of other attributes in addition to his goal-scoring abilities. In the 5-1 hammering of Newcastle on Sunday, the 28-year-old didn’t add to his 22 goals for the season, but he did add a seventh assist and was frequently spotted spreading perfect passes during attacking phases.

Kane, who was on the verge of joining City last summer, has apparently piqued the interest of both United and City. He might still make the switch before the start of next season, but if Pep Guardiola opts sign Erling Haaland instead, the Red Devils may try to bring him to Old Trafford.

Kane’s abilities were emphasized by Shearer in his post-Newcastle triumph appraisal to Premier League media. He described him as a “phenomenal talent.”

“You want him to work hard, which comes naturally to excellent players – you should never compliment someone for working hard because it should be the standard.” However, he does.

“Then there’s the fact that he can put the ball in the back of the net.” There aren’t many people that can compare to him.

“Then you consider his touch and technique, as well as his ability to turn and play those passes and crosses that we’ve seen not only in this game but for a long time.” As a result, he’s a really astute footballer.”

Shearer, the all-time leading scorer in the Premier League, has said that his ability to come deep and spread the ball from the number 10 position makes him and his team incredibly difficult to defend. “He’s incredibly difficult to mark because he’s so adept at going deep,” he continued.

“There’s a problem with the defenders. They provide space for Son (Heung-min) or (Dejan) Kulusevski to run into if they go deep into that hole with him, and that’s exactly what he did today.”

“It was a really intelligent performance from him,” he concluded. He’ll be disappointed if he doesn’t score today because he’s a striker and that’s all he cares about.

“It’s all about his thinking.” But, when you take a step back and analyze the game like we do, you’ll see that he’s a brilliant footballer who excels at what he does.”

Many believe Kane will leave this summer after expressing his desire for a trophy in prior years. However, given the success of his front-three combo with Son and Kulusevski under Antonio Conte, some believe Daniel Levy may yet be able to persuade him to stay at Spurs.
