Cristiano Ronaldo sets next Manchester United target before Liverpool fixture

With a crucial match against Liverpool on the horizon, Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has set his next goal-scoring aim. Ronaldo’s sensational hat-trick gave United a potentially crucial win over struggling Norwich at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.
It was his 60th treble in a dazzling and record-breaking career. But the five-time Ballon d’Or winner isn’t finished yet, as he looks forward to making more history, starting with the upcoming trip to Anfield on Tuesday night (8pm).
Ronaldo completed a stunning return to Old Trafford last summer after scoring 118 goals and providing 69 assists during his first tenure. In all contests, it was followed by 21 strikes.
Despite Arsenal and Tottenham’s unexpected defeats on Saturday afternoon, things have not gone according to plan in his second coming, with United – no longer able to win a trophy – facing a tough battle to qualify for the Champions League.
Even at 37, however, there is still plenty of gas in the tank. Meanwhile, Ronaldo’s latest hat-trick was significant not simply because it was his 60th.
Indeed, after collecting 30 match balls before turning 30, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has done it again seven years later – and shows no signs of slowing down.
Ronaldo made his next aim apparent while speaking to his 99 million followers on the social media network Twitter. The Portugal captain said in a post that included an image of him standing at Old Trafford and a’strong-arm’ emoji: “30 hat-tricks before the age of 30 and 30 hat-tricks after the age of 30. It’s time to tip the scales in your favor.”
