Slonina was signed by Chelsea iin a £12million deal from Chicago Fire in the summer transfer window before returning to the MLS side on-loan

The young goalkeeper has waved goodbye to former club Chicago Fire ahead of his move back to England following the end of the MLS season.

The 18-year-old kept 13 clean sheets in his debut season in the MLS, and is set to feature at the World Cup for the USMNT.

Although Slonina is seen as a signing for the future, his arrival will likely add a little more pressure upon the shoulders of Kepa and Mendy, who has been under performing in recent games.

Graham Potter will be able to get a closer look at the young goalkeeper over the next two weeks as he continues to assess his options in goal.

Kepa Arrizabalaga has been given the nod ahead of Edouard Mendy in recent weeks after the Senegalese returned to the squad following his recovery from a knee injury.
