The Blues academy at Cobham produced the 20-year-old center-back, but he’s profited greatly from loan periods in the last two years. His experience at Brighton in the Premier League last season, in particular, was crucial to his growth.

Colwill will now return to Stamford Bridge for pre-season this summer.

According to journalist Simon Phillips’ Substack, incoming Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino believes Colwill has a bright future at Stamford Bridge.

Colwill’s star is rising as he prepares to compete in the Under-21 European Championship with his England colleagues.

He’s a left-footed center-back who checks all the boxes for a modern-day defender, which is why many predict a long and successful career for him. Hopefully, he can live up to his full potential in Chelsea colors.

Pochettino, we believe, should put Colwill in the Blues’ first-team squad for the 2023/24 season.

We believe he is the next superstar to come from the Chelsea Academy, which has produced so many jewels over the last two decades.
