Bruno Fernandes has backed Nathan Bishop after the goalkeeper signed a new contract with Sunderland.

Sunderland announced the acquisition of Nathan Bishop, a 23-year-old midfielder, last night.

Bishop has left Manchester United for an unknown sum. He has agreed to a three-year contract with the club.

“Everyone at United would like to wish a hugely popular member of the squad the best of luck at his new club,” said United’s farewell statement.
