“Donny, we’re finishing up some last investigations, and once we get that, we’ll update you.”

Ten Hag also stated that Raphael Varane and Anthony Martial, who were both absent from the squad against Charlton, had been rested.

Marcus Rashford scored in his eighth straight home game for Manchester United, and his two goals in added time bring his season total to seven goals in the last six games.

Rashford now has 15 goals for the season, three more than he had last season, as he prepares for the Manchester derby at Old Trafford on Saturday.

“I think I’ve told you many times that when he takes himself into position in one-on-ones, in the box, he will score, and that’s what he’s doing right now,” Ten Hag said. “If he maintains his focus and puts in the same effort, he will continue to score.”
