Liverpool in the League Final Vinicius Jr scored in the 59th minute to help Real Madrid defeat Liverpool 1-0 in the Champions League final.
Real Madrid won the Champions League for the 14th time on Saturday, defeating Liverpool in the final in front of a raucous crowd at Stade de France. Real Madrid added another feather to their cap this season by capturing the biggest European trophy after winning La Liga. Vinicius Jr struck for Los Blancos as Carlo Ancelotti’s side got the better of the Reds and won 1-0 against the Premier League giants.
Vinicius took full use of a cross given by Fede Valverde in the 59th minute of the game, beating Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker from close range.
Liverpool had multiple chances in the game, but Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois kept the Reds from equalizing, and the La Liga champions won the Champions League.
Jurgen Klopp’s team had more than 20 shots on goal, nine of which were on target, but Courtois kept thwarting them time and time again.

Real Madrid had a fairytale run in the Champions League, coming from behind against Paris Saint-Germain (round of 16), Chelsea (quarterfinal), and Manchester City (semi-final). In the quarterfinals, Madrid scored a last-second second-leg winner to win the match on aggregate goals.
Liverpool, on the other hand, had to settle for the League Cup and FA Cup, and they were unable to add a Champions League championship to their list of achievements this season. Manchester City won the Premier League last Sunday, defeating Aston Villa 3-2, while Liverpool finished second, just one point behind the leaders.
