The Spanish left-back had seen limited action, featuring in just two games since his loan move from Tottenham during the summer transfer window. Unfortunately, he had to miss the weekend victory against Sheffield United due to an illness.

However, on this particular Monday, Reguilon made a welcomed appearance in training as the team prepared for their upcoming Champions League clash with Copenhagen on Tuesday.

Manager Ten Hag informed the press, “Sergio was fit on Friday, he trained all of last week, and he participated in training yesterday. Today, he will train again, and we need to evaluate his readiness and match fitness to determine if he can be included in the squad. We must ensure he is fit enough to be available.”

Casemiro was also present at the training session, but he won’t be available for the European fixture as he is serving a suspension.

Manchester United made the decision to rest Casemiro for the Blades game, allowing him more time to recover from a knock he sustained while on international duty with the Brazilian national team, despite his earlier return to the field for his country.

Meanwhile, Tyrell Malacia engaged in an individual training session as he continued his recovery from an unspecified injury he suffered during the summer. The Dutchman hasn’t seen any action this season and is expected to be out for a few more weeks after missing the preseason.

On Tuesday, Manchester United is set to host Copenhagen at Old Trafford, and just five days later, the highly-anticipated Manchester derby will take place.

Additionally, senior players Luke Shaw, Kobbie Mainoo, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka are still undergoing medical treatment and attention.
