When Erik ten Hag joins Manchester United in the summer, he may want to bolster practically every part of the club, including the frontline.

Cristiano Ronaldo may have scored 24 goals this season, but his teammates have been mainly underwhelming, with a little hint of who will succeed the 37-year-old when he retires. With four important core members going next month, including Paul Pogba, the majority of ten Hag’s money will most likely be spent on midfielders.

So, when it comes to bolstering other areas of the pitch, the Dutchman may be looking for bargains. This season, a handful of excellent strikers face relegation with their teams.

If their clubs are unable to survive the drop, these players will be forced to relocate to a new team. United may try to take advantage of this by luring them to Old Trafford in the hopes of reclaiming a top-four spot next season.

MEN Sport looks at three players who ten Hag may be interested in signing.

Richarlison

Everton is not yet out of danger, despite being considered as the club most likely to survive. Richarlison has certainly been their greatest performance this season, scoring nine of their 39 league goals – nearly a quarter of his team’s total.

Even if the Toffees avoid relegation, United may still want to make a move for the Brazilian, who is expected to leave Goodison Park this summer. Richarlison is very versatile, capable of playing out wide or as the main man upfront when necessary.

Kalajdzic, Sasa

At 6ft7′, the attacker is the tallest player in the Bundesliga, currently playing for German strugglers Stuttgart. He provides a unique outlet for United, having won 149 aerial duels this season.

Kalajdzic appears to be regaining form after missing the first half of the season due to a terrible shoulder injury. He has five goals in nine games since March, adding to his 16 goals from last season.

Rafinha

Rafinha of Leeds United has been the name most connected with a move to United among the Premier League’s threatened sides. According to reports, Barcelona was interested in signing the winger in January, but he is now willing to depart Elland Road in the summer.

His eleven goals and three assists have piqued the interest of several English clubs, but many think that Raphinha would be better suited to ten Hag’s style of play, citing his time at Ajax with Hakim Ziyech. If Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford leave, he could be an adequate substitute.
