Barcelona Are ‘Working’ To Sign Former Teenage Prodigy Who Made His Name At Manchester United
According to sources in Spain, Barcelona has ‘interfered’ in Adnan Januzaj’s Real Sociedad contract extension and is ‘working’ to sign the former Manchester United winger.
When David Moyes handed him his debut against Wigan in the Community Shield, the 26-year-old, who arrived at Old Trafford as a teenager, made an immediate impact.
He made his United debut against Sunderland two months later, scoring a brace as United rallied from behind to win 2-1 at the Stadium of Light.
Despite making 35 appearances in the 2013/14 season, the Belgian winger’s career never quite took off, and he was loaned out to Borussia Dortmund the next season.

After another loan spell with Sunderland, he was eventually moved to Real Sociedad for an estimated £9.8 million in 2017.
Januzaj has established himself as a first-team regular for the La Liga side, despite not quite living up to the lofty expectations that surrounded him during his time at Manchester United. Barcelona, on the other hand, is rumored to be interested in his services.
The Catalan club is ‘trying’ to sign the player, according to Spanish writer Llus Canut of SPORT. In fact, they ‘interfered’ in his contract renewal with Sociedad after concluding that it was the best course of action.
As Januzaj evaluates his future, it looks that the arrival of Barca has changed everything.
As they continue to struggle in the league, Xavi’s side will be hopeful that the Belgian can help them.
Do you believe Januzaj will benefit from a move to Barcelona?
