Cristiano Ronaldo’s return to the Premier League would not be “straightforward,” according to Wayne Rooney, but he believes he can put Manchester United in contention for the championship.

 

At Old Trafford, the pair won three Premier League championships and one Champions League during their five-year tenure.

 

The 2007-08 season was especially successful, with Rooney, Ronaldo, and Carlos Tevez devastating as United won the Premier League and Champions League Double.’

 

According to Planet Football, the three players combined for 140 appearances in all competitions for United that season, scoring 79 goals and assisting 29 others.

 

Ronaldo, who has been incorporated into United’s training, is set to make his second appearance against Newcastle on Saturday.

 

Rooney, on the other hand, will not be returning to Old Trafford to greet his 36-year-old teammate. Rooney will be taking his own boys to sports on Saturday, despite the fact that his Derby County team is playing Birmingham City on Friday.

According to the Daily Mirror, Rooney stated, “I haven’t talked to Cristiano since his return, and I won’t be attending the game on Saturday.”

Obviously, I support Manchester United; I want them to succeed, and I think it’s fantastic that they’ve reintroduced Cristiano.
