Manchester United players have arrived at The Lowry Hotel in preparation for their Premier League match against Southampton.

With an early victory over the Saints on Saturday afternoon (12.30pm), the Old Trafford giants can send a message to their fellow top-four rivals.

United got off to a fast start against Burnley at Turf Moor.

However, they were eventually pegged back by the bottom-of-the-table Clarets, when Jay Rodriguez scored soon after the restart to cancel out a goal from World Cup winner Paul Pogba, who had been out for three months with a thigh injury.

However, the focus has already switched to the forthcoming match against Southampton tomorrow afternoon.

United will be missing Eric Bailly (ankle), Fred (Covid-19), and Nemanja Matic (shin).

After Covid-19, it was hoped that Alex Telles would muscle his way back into contention, and the Brazilian defender was spotted with the United squad as they made their way to the normal, overnight pre-match headquarters.

Premier League player of the month David de Gea, Victor Lindelof, Jesse Lingard, and Marcus Rashford were among those sighted by Manchester Evening News photographers.

Cristiano Ronaldo, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner, naturally took center stage, while young Academy talent Anthony Elanga continues to find his way in the first-team surroundings.

Of course, there is still a chance that individuals who were not present upon arrival will join the rest of the squad before kick-off tomorrow noon.

David de Gea, Dean Henderson, Tom Heaton; Diogo Dalot, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Luke Shaw, Alex Telles, Raphael Varane, Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, Phil Jones; Scott McTominay, Paul Pogba, Juan Mata, Bruno Fernandes; Jadon Sancho, Jesse Lingard, Anthony Elanga, Marcus Rashford, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Edinson Cavani;
