Georgina Rodriguez has stated that it was difficult for her to adjust to life after meeting Manchester United legend Cristiano Ronaldo.
The pair have been dating since 2016, and Alana Martina, their daughter, was born in November 2017. They are expecting twins at the moment.
Ronaldo is perhaps the most recognizable athlete on the planet, with 395 million Instagram followers, making him the most followed person on the social media platform.
Georgina has achieved global popularity as a result of their relationship, as she currently has approximately 30 million Instagram followers.
Her Netflix reality show “I am Georgina” premieres on Thursday.
“I moved from selling fancy products to wearing them on the red carpet,” Georgina explained, according to the Latin Times. “I have millions of followers and am the wife of the world’s most-followed man.
“When I first went to Cristiano’s place, I kept getting lost in the kitchen. Because I didn’t know how to go back, it would take me half an hour.
“Because I didn’t know how to get back from the living room, it would sometimes take me half an hour. It was enormous. I’d been used to living in modest apartments since I was a child.”
Ronaldo is the first professional footballer to earn more than $1 billion over his storied career, according to Forbes.
In addition to his current club, United, the Portugal captain has played for Sporting Lisbon, Real Madrid, and Juventus.
Ronaldo has three Premier League titles, five Champions Leagues, two La Liga crowns, Euro 2016, and two Serie A titles in his trophy collection. He has also won the Ballon d’Or five times.
Georgina stated in a promo for her new show: “My life changed five years ago. [I am] the girlfriend of the most-followed man on social media.”
“Cristiano is fantastic; he’s a very typical person. I wished to have a prince charming by my side, and now I have him… thanks to love, my life has become a fantasy.”
Georgina said, “I know what it’s like to have nothing and what it’s like to have everything.”
Ronaldo makes an appearance in the trailer as well, telling viewers, “She’s the woman I’m fully in love with.”
In an interview with Piers Morgan in September 2019, Ronaldo stated of his celebrity: “Being me is tedious. Some of it is great.
“Being famous, making the front page of the newspaper and appearing on television. But after 15 years, I’d like to have some privacy. My privacy has vanished in the previous ten years.
“I haven’t taken my kids to the park in a long time. If I go, people will show up, and my kids, my girlfriend, and I will all be nervous. You can’t be yourself when you’re out in public.
“It’s tedious. I want to be free once more. I’m not going to name names because it’s not fair. But I’ll name four people, four people I completely trust.
“I have very close friends and relatives, but there are only around four people in whom I have complete trust. That’s how life is.”
