According to the most recent reports in the Spanish press, Manchester United is highly associated with Dutch international Frenkie de Jong.
Sport announced on Friday that the Red Devils will make an offer to sign the Barcelona midfielder under new manager Ten Hag.
Another Spanish newspaper, Fichajes, said yesterday that the Catalan giants would allow the 24-year-old to depart if offered more than 86 million euros (£72 million+).
According to the report, Manchester United are willing to give Alex Telles and Marcus Rashford to Barcelona, who are eager to add a left-back and a forward to their team for next season.
Telles is our backup left-back, and the Brazilian international has mostly started in Luke Shaw’s absence. So far this season, he has made 17 Premier League games and provided three assists.
Rashford is experiencing the worst season of his career, therefore he has mostly sat on the bench. So far in the Premier League, the English attacker has started 12 games and scored four goals.
In the center midfield, Matic will leave in the summer, and Pogba may also leave. As a result, the department must be strengthened.
Ten Hag is well aware of Frenkie de Jong’s abilities since he was a key player of the Ajax club that advanced to the final four of the European Cup in the 2018-19 season.
Have your say: Should Manchester United make an offer to Telles and Rashford to sign De Jong during the summer transfer window?
