Man United announce Frenkie De Jong’s favourite shirt number as deal reaches final stage – Fabrizio
Manchester United are in talks to sign Frenkie De Jong from Barcelona.
According to Fabrizio Romano, a leading transfer specialist and columnist for CaughtOffside, the Red Devils are trying to make Erik Ten Hag their first major signing.
Although there is still much work to be done before Ten Hag can be reunited with De Jong, the Premier League giant’s chase could be aided by the availability of the midfielder’s favorite number.
According to the Evening Standard, De Jong told Voetbal International in 2019: “I feel comfortable with that figure.”

Given his achievements in Europe’s top leagues, it goes without saying that if United are successful in luring the 25-year-old to Old Trafford, they will have recruited one of the continent’s top prospects.
