HERE WE GO: Fabrizio Romano announced DONE DEAL as Manchester United set to seal transfer for 28-year-old star
Manchester United defender Eric Bailly is “ready to sign” for Olympique de Marseille, according to Fabrizio Romano.
After Manchester United’s 2-1 win over Liverpool, the journalist revealed that the French side are close to agreeing a deal with the player on a personal basis, while the clubs have already finalised a deal. If Marseille reach the Champions League next season, this loan deal will become a permanent signing, and we could see Bailly fly to France as early as tomorrow.

Manchester United’s season is on the up and they have plenty of options in central defence.
After two early games in the Premier League, Erik ten Hag pulled off a magical win over rivals Liverpool on Monday night.
The Red Devils were fantastic all over the pitch, with impeccable pressing and excellent play. However, the highlight of their performance was the way they defended.
New signing Tyrell Malacia was outstanding on the left side of the defence, while Diogo Dalot also did an impressive job on the right side, never giving in to Liverpool’s pressure.
However, the centre-back pairing of Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez, recently signed from Ajax, was truly outstanding. Based on this game, it would seem obvious that Ten Hag will stick with this pairing for the foreseeable future, but with club captain Harry Maguire also on the list, the decision is not an easy one. Victor Lindelof is also a solid option in central defence, while Axel Tuanzebe and Phil Jones are other options the new manager can turn to.
With so many players available, at least one had to go, and it looks like Bailly has been sacrificed, at least for now.
