Despite the England international’s remarkable 30-goal performance across all competitions for Man United last season, he has encountered difficulties this term, managing only two goals and a solitary assist in the Premier League.

Off the field, the 26-year-old has faced personal issues, including his brother’s arrest under a battery charge during a vacation in Miami.

Tragically, Rashford also experienced the loss of his cousin, to whom he dedicated a goal against Everton.

In the aftermath of United’s 3-0 victory over Everton, where Rashford took a penalty, manager Erik ten Hag lauded captain Bruno Fernandes for allowing Rashford the opportunity.

However, former United captain Roy Keane strongly criticized the decision, dismissing it as “absolute rubbish.”

Keane emphasized that United still has a long way to go to compete with the Premier League’s top teams.

Post United’s 1-0 defeat to Newcastle United, club legend Paul Scholes openly criticized Rashford, questioning his work ethic and suggesting he’s been more detrimental than beneficial to the team.

Nevertheless, teammate Harry Maguire, accustomed to facing criticism himself, defended Rashford, asserting that he is diligently working to rediscover his form.

In a recent article for CaughtOffside, Fabrizio Romano shared his perspective on Rashford’s current situation.

According to the journalist, Rashford remains content at Old Trafford, expressing trust in the club and Ten Hag.

Romano urged fans not to hastily judge the 26-year-old, stating, “We can’t shift from Rashford being one of the best players in the world last season to ‘needs a change’ now; that is football.”

Romano emphasized that the entire United lineup is grappling with form, not just Rashford. As United prepares to face Chelsea at Old Trafford, Rashford will undoubtedly seek an opportunity from Ten Hag to make a significant impact, potentially silencing critics and initiating a turnaround in his season.
