This is on top of the six goals he scored in the Champions League before being eliminated. Ronaldo made his long-awaited return at the start of this season, and despite his consistent goals, he has been chastised by analysts and other spectators.

However, time and time again, the commotion made by the Portugal captain has been drowned out. With plenty of gas still in the tank at 37, the United legend teamed up with Anthony Elanga for the opener.

Ronaldo scored his 13th Premier League goal of the season to surpass England captain Kane. Earlier today, the Tottenham midfielder drew a blank against Brighton, with the Seagulls going on to score a late winner, re-opening an exciting top-four race in the process.

Back at United, Ronaldo had Jesse Lingard to thank for his 15th goal of the season just before halftime.

Tottenham started the day six points ahead of United, but with a win over the Canaries, Ralf Rangnick’s club can cut the difference to three points. Ronaldo, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner, now ranks fourth in the goal-scoring statistics after scoring twice against Norwich, passing Liverpool’s Sadio Mane (13).

Only Mohamed Salah (20), Son Heung-min (17), and Diogo Jota have scored more goals. With nine goals, Bruno Fernandes is the closest United player to Ronaldo.
