Erik ten Hag, manager of Manchester United, has declared that his squad has "the worst schedule in the Premier League" this season.
The Dutchman, though, feels that the Red Devils cannot use that as an excuse for blowing a two-goal lead at Tottenham.
United took a 2-0 lead in the first half thanks to goals from Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford.
However, the hosts responded with Pedro Porro and Heung-Min Son.
“They were not prepared today.” We decided 90% was enough, so we threw away the balls. And when you fail to execute your job in positioning, you give up goals.
“There was a difference after halftime; we lost control because we are not all secure.” Then you must engage in combat.
“When you lose battles, you lose possession and chances, and you concede goals.” That’s exactly what occurred. Then you must be satisfied and accept that point,” Ten Hag explained.
United remain in fourth place with 60 points, while Spurs move up to fifth with 54 points.
Ten Hag’s team will play Aston Villa next, while Tottenham will go to Liverpool.
