Video – Goal of the year? Man United’s Alessia Russo scores outrageous nutmeg goal as England reach Euro 2022 final

Alessia Russo scored an extraordinarily cheeky back-heel through the legs of Sweden’s goalkeeper to secure England’s place in the Euro 2022 final.
Watch below as the Manchester United attacker displayed remarkable inventiveness to score in front of a raucous Bramall Lane crowd…
England were already 2-0 up against Sweden in this semi-final match, but this magnificent goal truly added some luster to the evening as the Lionesses confirmed their place in this year’s final.
The back-heel is reminiscent of Thierry Henry’s spectacular goal against Charlton Athletic in 2004, and we’ve seen Luis Suarez and Sadio Mane accomplish similar efforts in recent times.
Still, it’s not often that you see a goal this excellent, so kudos to Russo for having the ingenuity and talent to pull it off after her initial effort was saved.
Germany and France play in the second semi-final tonight, while England waits to know who will face them in the final.
No, it wasn’t a dream 😍
England are in the #WEURO2022 final and yes, Alessia Russo actually pulled this off 😅
