FC Red Bull Salzburg demands Bruno Fernandes + 100m for word-class wonderkid striker as Ronaldo Transfer

With his pre-season performance against Liverpool, BENJAMIN SESKO made a huge statement.

In a pre-season friendly against Liverpool on Wednesday evening, Manchester United target Benjamin Sesko justified links to Europe’s elite clubs. The teenager stunned two Reds players with a single skill move, and he also opened the scoring by capping off a smart RB Salzburg attack.

United, along with Newcastle, Bayern Munich, and Borussia Dortmund, are said to be interested in Sesko, who broke into the Salzburg first squad last season. Although his league goal total of five was low, he has already scored two in two this season and continued his great form against Liverpool.

Sesko launched a hard run towards the Reds’ box shortly after the half-hour mark, before playing a one-two and finishing comfortably beyond Adrian. Before the intermission, he purposefully drew in Curtis Jones and James Milner before wiggling between them with an eye-catching heel-to-heel skill move.

Despite the presence of major names like Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz, and Virgil van Dijk on the bench, Salzburg held firm for 90 minutes and Sesko’s goal proved to be the winner.

United may require a striker in the coming weeks following Cristiano Ronaldo’s request to leave Old Trafford due to a lack of Champions League games. Crunch discussions this week failed to reverse the tide, and super-agent Jorge Mendes is poised to resume his search for a suitable destination.

Sesko would be a costly option at £55 million, but Salzburg has a track record of producing quality young players at a rapid pace. Erling Haaland of Manchester City and Karim Adeyemi of Borussia Dortmund both came through the Austrian ranks in recent years before making significant moves.

United have yet to hold negotiations with Sesko, but he is said to be on a list of talents they admire before their striker search begins. All summer, Ajax attacker Antony has been extensively connected with a reunion with Erik ten Hag, but with the Dutch club already having parted ways with a number of their top players, the Red Devils may find themselves priced out.

Sesko, a 6ft 4 a teenager who is threatening to burst onto the scene and become a household figure, is supposedly wanted by Salzburg for the season. In response to a post explaining Manchester United’s interest in the Slovenian international, Salzburg’s Twitter account responded jokingly: “We want 300 million + Bruno.”

Sasa Kalajdzic of Stuttgart is another rangy frontman associated with the Red Devils. While Ten Hag is thought to be a fan of the 25-year-old, Sven Mislintat, the German club’s transfer boss, stated earlier this month that ‘no offers’ had been received.

“We’re having great discussions with Sasa about his predicament,” he added. “And it’s always vital to me while they’re there that they give it their best, and he does that in every training session.”
