Video – De Gea’s message to Man United fans as he celebrates his 11th season at Old Trafford

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has expressed his thanks for being a member of the Manchester United team as he enters his 11th season with the club on Twitter.
Since Van der Sir’s departure, De Gea has been Manchester United’s choice No. 1, and the Spanish international has been the club’s present backbone. Even when all of the team’s players have been out of form, de Gea has been the one holding the team back.

On June 29, 2011, de Gea signed for Manchester United from Atletico Madrid in an £18.9 million deal, becoming the highest-paid goalkeeper at the time, and succeeding Manchester United goalkeeper, Van der Sir.
According to Premier League statistics, the Manchester United goalie has made 377 club appearances with 130 clean sheets, 202 wins, and 82 losses for the English team since joining the club.
De Gea has also received numerous honors, both at the club and international levels. In 2018, he earned the Golden Glove of the Year; in 2013, he became the first Premier League champion to collect the trophy with Manchester United; and in January 2022, he won Premier League Player of the Month.
Manchester United goalkeeper De Gea has been plagued by his allegiance to the club after committing his football career to the club in order to see Manchester United reclaim their glory, despite the squad now doing poorly.
