Finally – Man Utd takeover: ‘Glazer agreement’ claim as two promising Sheikh Jassim hints dropped

Sheikh Jassim Persists in Pursuit of Manchester United Despite Repeated Bids Rejections

Reports suggest that Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al Thani remains undeterred in his quest to acquire Manchester United, even after having multiple bids turned down. The Qatari businessman’s history of perseverance indicates that the Glazer family, who currently own the club, are playing the long game in the takeover negotiations.

More than ten months ago, the Glazers initiated a strategic review, which included the possibility of selling the club after their 18-year tenure at the helm of Old Trafford.

In the battle for control of Manchester United, Sheikh Jassim has been competing with Sir Jim Ratcliffe. However, the Glazers have stood their ground, insisting on a lofty £6 billion valuation for the club.

Reportedly, both parties’ final offers fell short of this figure, with bids estimated at around £5 billion, creating a substantial gap between the proposals and the asking price.

Nevertheless, Sheikh Jassim raised his bid on two occasions after reportedly presenting the Glazers with a “take-it-or-leave-it” ultimatum, in an effort to stay competitive with Ratcliffe.

Some sections of the fanbase hold out hope that he will eventually yield to the resolute sellers and meet their demands to usher in a new era for Manchester United.

According to GiveMeSport, Sheikh Jassim’s willingness to adjust his offer in the past may provide encouragement for the Glazers and supporters who are anticipating a potential sixth and improved bid.

The Glazers are adamant about securing a fee closer to their £6 billion valuation, and the report suggests that the Qatari billionaire may have no other option but to acquiesce to their terms if he wishes to take control of Manchester United.

United fans have continued their strong protests against the Glazers, expressing their opposition to the American family’s ownership every time the team plays.

Fan group ‘The Red Army,’ located above the tunnel at Old Trafford, recently organized an hour-long sit-in protest after the team’s 3-2 victory against Nottingham Forest earlier this season.

Another group, ‘The 1958,’ consistently gathers a large number of supporters in the Old Trafford concourse before matches, where their message remains crystal clear.

However, for the time being, there is little indication that the Glazers will relinquish control of United unless Sheikh Jassim or Ratcliffe meet their demands.
