The story comes from Brazil, where journalist Venê Casagrande claims the midfielder has accepted an offer from the Cottagers and will join the London club on a three-year contract with a one-year extension option.

Fulham will play Manchester United £9 million for the deal, with a further £3 million in performance bonuses likely.

The clubs were apparently only waiting for the midfielder’s green light to finalize the trade when the Brazilian media initially announced an agreement between Cottagers and Red Devils.

Andreas Pereira spent the season on loan at Flamengo, who, although having a purchase agreement with Manchester United, elected not to proceed. The midfielder made it obvious that he wanted to stay in Rio de Janeiro, declaring that he is now a fan of the club and telling Brazilian reporters that the Old Trafford club will decide his future.

Despite the recent outstanding form, the 26-year-season old’s in South America was full of ups and downs. It’s now time for a fresh start in the Premier League.
