Chelsea has been offered the option to bring back former sensation Eden Hazard from Real Madrid this summer. Should the Blues go for it?

Eden Hazard’s dream move to Real Madrid from Chelsea was only two years ago. 

Indeed, Hazard has appeared to be a shadow of the superstar he was at Chelsea, frequently suffering for form and fitness, which has resulted in him being in and out of the side on a regular basis.     Hazard quickly established himself as one of the finest players in the Premier League and Europe, captivating fans with his superb wing-play. Titles and tribulations followed as he won the Premier League and the League Cup under Jose Mourinho, another Premier League championship and the FA Cup under Antonio Conte, and the UEFA Europa League under Maurizio Sarri.

    Hazard, a future club legend, amassed 352 appearances for Chelsea in seven seasons, generating a spectacular score of 110 goals and 92 assists before departing for Real Madrid in the summer of 2019, in a transaction costing an eye-watering €100 million.

    Hazard’s problems in Spain

    The former Chelsea star player Hazard was a bona fide superstar when he finalized the move to the Spanish capital, but there were hints of trouble as early as his debut as a Real Madrid player when he turned up overweight and unfit. Since then, the 30-year-old has been plagued by injuries, severely restricting his playing time.

    Hazard has only made 43 appearances in his two years at the club. To put things into perspective, the Belgian has missed 59 games for Los Blancos owing to injuries and conditioning issues. When he has played, the 30-year-old has been a pale shell of his former self, registering only five goals and eight assists.
