‘I’m sick of saying it!’ – Roy Keane blasts just one Man United’s player after FA Cup final

Ilkay Gundogan’s two goals were enough to keep City’s treble dreams alive ahead of the Champions League final against Inter Milan next weekend. Gundogan put City ahead after just 13 seconds, the fastest goal in FA Cup final history, before Bruno Fernandes equalized from the spot with 33 minutes remaining.

Gundogan, on the other hand, had the ultimate word in the match, scoring just six minutes after halftime. He received Kevin De Bruyne’s free-kick and blasted home from the edge of the box.

The German’s shot bounced through, leaving De Gea unable to scurry over soon enough to keep it out and maintain the score at 1-1. In retrospect, the Spaniard should have done much better because he did not move his feet swiftly enough to cross to his right side.

It meant that the former Atletico Madrid shot-stopper was once again confronted with criticism. He is out of contract at Old Trafford at the end of the month but is likely to sign new terms soon.

Former Manchester United star Keane, on the other hand, has requested that the club sign a new goalkeeper in the upcoming summer transfer window, claiming that De Gea is “not good enough” to stay as the Reds’ first-choice option between the sticks.

“They desperately need a new goalkeeper and a world-class striker, I’m sick of saying it!” ITV Sport was informed by Keane. “De Gea is not good enough to lead Manchester United back to winning trophies.”

Ten Hag revealed earlier this week that, despite his desire to maintain De Gea, he may not be the club’s starting goalkeeper next season.

When asked if De Gea would remain at Old Trafford this summer, Ten Hag replied, “Yes, but I won’t say he’ll always be my No. 1 because, in a club like Man United, there must be competition in all positions.” It’s not possible with 11 players.

“It’s not possible. You require two positions.”
